A Faith-Filled Community with a Passionate Mission
Founded by Elder Leonard Fennell and his wife, Sis. Shirley Fennell, Refuge III has grown from a small gathering in their home to a vibrant congregation committed to sharing God’s love. Established in October 2006, the church has expanded with each chapter, reflecting the dedication of its members and the abundant blessings of God. Today, Refuge III is a beacon of hope, where lives are transformed through worship, fellowship, and community outreach.
Our History of Service and Growth
Since our founding, Refuge III has been deeply rooted in community service. From organizing events like the 4th of July parade, where we won first place for “Most Spirit,” to hosting Freedom Pink, a women’s outreach event that impacted over 300 lives, we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Our Jail Bible Class Ministry, Refuge III Book Club, and Christmas Eve services at Hope for Haven are just a few ways we serve and connect with others.
We give God all the glory for His blessings and the growth of Refuge III. We invite you to join us in our journey of faith, community, and love.
Leadership is more than a role—it’s a calling to serve God’s people with compassion and grace, ensuring that each person who enters our doors experiences the love and presence of God.
Doctrinal Statement
We believe that there is but one God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and all mankind. Made known to mankind as Father, Creator, source, origin, and progenitor of all things and souls, universal father and father of Eternity, without body or parts, self-existent, that is existing of Himself and by Himself. Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent. As the Son of Man in Redemption. The coming into the world through immaculate conception and virgin birth, thus assuming a personality, the second greatest mystery of all times. He was the lamb of God according to the flesh, the very God himself according to the Spirit. As the Holy Ghost, regenerator and perfector of those who believe. The organizer and element of the church, the divine executor in the world. We believe that we should earnestly contend for God’s standard of salvation, a Holy Spirit-filled life in the present world. We believe in the remission of sin by water baptism in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe in the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe that if we live for Him in this present world, we shall reign with Him when He shall return by the rapture for His Church.

Bible-Based Teachings
We rely on the Bible as God’s inspired Word, guiding us in faith and practice.
